Following the recent launch of its Tropical Bonanza slot and leading iGaming content provider iSoftBet has further expanded its footprint across Europe after entering into a new partnership agreement with international online gaming company TonyBet.

Owned by Betsson AB, the Estonian firm operates in multiple jurisdictions and as such the deal will see the provider’s products made available in “key regulated markets” across Europe, including Portugal, Spain and Latvia, in addition to the Netherlands “in the near future.”

European Growth:

Via company blog, Lars Kollind, Head of Business Development for iSoftBet, commented on the recent deal, referring to the tie-up as an “exciting moment” for the London-headquartered company as they “continue to identify” new ways to grow their footprint across Europe.

Kollind further explained that TonyBet has a “major presence in a number of key jurisdictions,” and they look forward to supplying their “fantastic games” to its audiences.

For its part, TonyBet Key Account Manager Davis Skulte praised iSoftBet for bringing a “diverse range of content to market,” from Megaways games to innovative Hold and Win titles, and said they are “delighted” to be able to offer that content to their players across Europe.

Betsson AB Acquisition TonyBet:

Acquired in September 2016 by Betsson AB, one of the largest companies within the European iGaming industry, TonyBet (Lošimų strateginė grupė, UAB) at the time was the second largest licensed online operator in Lithuania, offering its customers primarily a sportsbook online and through a network of 20-plus betting shops in the Baltic country.

Currently, the company offers a wider range of products, including sportbook, live casino and online slot products, and employs a “customer-centric approach in the experiences it provides, monitoring the quality of the services in accordance with the assigned responsibilities.”

IGT Acquires iSoftBet:

Meanwhile, it was just five months ago that International Game Technology PLC (NYSE: IGT) (“IGT”) announced an agreement to acquire the leading iGaming content provider and third-party game aggregator, iSoftBet, for approximately €160 million in cash.

After closing conditions have been satisfied, the sale is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2022 and will, according to IGT, more than double its IGT PlayDigital content portfolio to some 225 proprietary games, while also “providing a world-class, proprietary game aggregation platform to distribute third-party games, and leading data-driven promotional and user-engagement tools.”

Key Commercial Agreements:

The current tie-up, is the latest in a series of key commercial agreements for iSoftBet, including those with Gauselmann Group-backed Eyas Gaming most recently, along with Bulgarian land-based operator, Alphabet, for its recently established sports betting and online casino brand, Alphawin, and joining German-based gambling and casinos company Löwen Play’s network of partners in July.
